Capcom migrating some titles over to a new online service

Just not the ones that weren’t developed by Capcom

GameSpy Technology is shutting down on May 31. We’ve seen some companies respond to this, stating that they’ll fix their old titles so they live on, or straight up just abandon them. Capcom has responded, and they’ll be migrating some titles over to a new online multiplayer service.

Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition and Marvel vs Capcom Origins are already up and running on a new service. Capcom is in the process of migrating over Lost Planet 3, because they seriously think people are still playing it online. I actually forgot it had any online features. Anyway, the switch over will force the leaderboards and play stats to be reset.

Age of Booty and Flock!, however, will both be abandoned. There’s no plans to update or migrate either title. They can still both be purchased and play fine on their own, but the online multiplayer or level editing sharing features won’t work.
