Can a Switch survive after a drop from 1,000 feet?

Yes

This is probably the dumbest thing you’ll watch all day, but it’s well edited and less than four minutes long.

The UnlockRiver YouTube channel decided to fly a Switch up 1,000 feet attached to a drone, then let it drop (skip to two minutes in if you want the actual drop). Surprisingly it actually works after impact, but a hilariously flimsy Joy-Con was demolished.

A lot of you out there are probably watching this Switch get wrecked by a popular YouTuber and going “I can’t even find one.” I feel your pain. Vicariously, of course, as I pre-ordered a Switch the minute it went up.
