Call of Duty MW3 week 4 challenges and how to complete them

What in the world is a clean kill?

Another new set of weekly challenges is available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. Completing five of the week 4 challenges will get you an exclusive reward for the week, plus inch you closer to getting the seasonal camo Rotten Inferno. As with most sets of challenges, a few are a bit confusing. Here’s what they all mean and how to complete them.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, you can click on your challenges at the top-left of the lobby screen or the six boxes at the top-right to open the challenges menu. Then click on weekly challenges to view the ones for the current week. Click each of the weeks listed at the top to go back or forward to see future weeks or challenges you’ve missed. For week four, you’ll have to complete any five of the following challenges to get the JAK Glassless Optic:

  • 20 akimbo kills with a recommended weapon
  • 7 attachments equipped to a recommended weapon
  • 15 Clean Kills with a suppressed recommended LMG
  • 3 kills with a single magazine 5 times with a recommended assault rifle
  • 30 kills with alternate ammo using a recommended assault rifle
  • 20 Tac Stance kills with recommended assault rifles
  • 3 triple kills with recommended battle rifles

Recommended weapons are marked as such when you enter the loadout creation screen. They’re pretty difficult to miss. For most of these, you’ll just have to equip a recommended weapon and complete the challenge, like getting three triple kills with recommended battle rifles.

How to complete the MW3 week 4 weekly challenges

Some of the week four challenges are a bit more confusing. For example, what in the world is a clean kill? Here’s an explanation for each challenge:

  • Akimbo kills means using pistols with the ‘akimbo’ attachment slot, giving you dual-wield pistols.
  • Equip seven attachments to a recommended weapon
  • Clean kills are kills where the enemy does not hurt you or return fire before dying.
  • Using a single magazine for three kills means you shouldn’t reload often, save your ammo, shoot precisely, and equip a larger magazine.
  • Alternate ammo is an attachment slot with options like High Velocity. This is a great choice because it just makes your bullets travel faster to their destination.
  • Tac Stance is when you slide and your gun turns sideways. But you can change a setting so that every time you aim down sights it will use Tac Stance instead.
  • Get three kills in quick succession with a recommended battle rifle, three times.

After finishing five of the seven available week four challenges, you’ll get the JAK Glassless Optic. It’s a clear precision sight, one that will replace your M2.K or Slate Reflector and might be the best of the bunch. Optics are obviously personal preference, but many players might like how clear and visible enemies are when using the JAK Glassless. You can see popular streamer Teep firing it here. As a result, it might be worth hopping into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 this week to unlock the new attachment.
