According to VGChartz, Call of Duty is unsurprisingly the Xbox 360’s hottest property, with Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 taking first and second place respectively. Both games chart above the exclusive Halo 3, which sits in third place. Bronze ain’t bad!
Black Ops has shifted a ludicrous 13.07 million copies to date, while Modern Warfare 2 has sold 12.62 million. Halo 3 solid 11.34 million, followed by Kinect Adventures (10.62m) and Grand Theft Auto IV (9.19m).
Every year, Call of Duty seems to have its “biggest launch ever,” leading one to wonder exactly when it’ll hit its peak. Experience has taught me that nothing stays on top of the mountain forever, but it seems that Activision’s military shooter series still has plenty of life left.
