Call of Duty: Classic hits this Wednesday

Soon even the soft or less-elite modern combat veterans will be able to get in on the World War II arcade shooter action. Infinity Ward’s downloadable, Call of Duty: Classic, is set to make its proper debut over Xbox LIVE Arcade on Wednesday.

A recent tweet by European Xbox LIVE man Graeme Boyd (via Kotaku) revealed as much, adding that the downloadable will set Euro gamers back 1,200 Microsoft Bucks. US Xbox LIVE man Major Nelson followed soon after via his blog, echoing the price point.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 “Hardened” and “Prestige” special edition owners have had access to Call of Duty: Classic since MW2’s launch earlier this November, but this is the first time we’ve seen a firm release date for the mass launch of the downloadable.
