Buy $20 worth of Xbox LIVE goods, get $5 back

Microsoft is throwing another one of those spend-money-to-make-money promotions, although this one isn’t quite as good as the last one. The full instructions are viewable here, but here’s the gist: you download a free Gamerpic, spend $20 on select digital items by November 22, and get $5 back.

Of course, the five bucks won’t be credited to you until late December, but that’s just business as usual. This offer applies to certain add-ons and Avatar items from recent games, as well as a handful of Xbox LIVE Arcade titles. The XBLA stuff isn’t exactly new per se, although much of it is worth getting.

While we’re on the subject, now is right about when you should be getting your $10 back from the last promotion. Also, it’s not part of the current deal, but everyone needs to buy Pac-Man Championship Edition DX. It’s absolutely phenomenal.
