Bungie won’t be at E3 this year, also Colbert

If you were anticipating a new reveal from Bungie at this year’s Electronics Entertainment Expo, brace for disappointment. In a weekly update on their blog, the developer has confirmed that they will not be in attendance at the big show next month.

Helping to soothe this are a couple of internal assets that had been part of a plan to do some cross-promotion for Halo: Reach with The Colbert Report, featuring the parodic pundit in a custom set of Spartan armor and piloting his very own ship, “Justice One.” The promotion never happened, which is only slightly worse than releasing the image of that armor and then telling us that neither the powers of Heaven nor Hell can make it a reality in the game.

Actually, now that I think about it, this whole thing is a real bummer. What jerks.
