Bungie releases Darkness trailer, reminds us to save some money for Xbox Live

Witness the new trailer for “Darkness,” which will be part of that new Halo 3 map pack some of you have been waiting for. Bungie is banking on this WoW inspired sneak peek of the upcoming Legendary Maps (Avalanche, Ghost Town, and Blackout) to pry you away from those marathon (get it?) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare matches that have taken center stage in recent weeks.

As one might imagine, Bungie’s not having any of that, and are looking to reclaim that lost turf. You’ll have to wait until April 15th (pretty popular date as of late, isn’t it?) to spend your 800 Microsoft Points on this one, but there’s no reason why you can’t still enjoy the now-free Heroic pack in the meantime. Yes, there are new kids in town vying for your attention, but Halo 3 online matches are still nothing to sneeze at – or have you forgotten already? Yes, you could always wait it out and get these for free somewhere down the line too, but that’s no fun. When it comes to taking your game to the online arena, there’s no time like the present.
