Bungie explains why the Halo 3 beta is so short

Recommended Videos

First off, it’s great that we even get to play the Halo 3 beta so soon. But really, when you think about it, it’s nothing but one big c*ck tease. We’re going to have this little beta time in a few weeks and then nothing, zip, nada, until the game comes out for good. It’s like the ultimate in gaming blue balls. Well, you may be wondering why Bungie is going to keep this beta so short. Thankfully, they explained why:

I’ve been asked a few times why the impending Beta is only three short weeks long. Well, obviously the number one reason is that the longer we’re spending resources taking care of the Beta, the less time we’re applying what we’ve learned from it to the final game. And statistically, three weeks is going to seem like a pretty long time when you look at the hours you log on the game.

Makes sense. I’d rather Bungie really concentrate on making Halo 3 as polished as humanly possible. This game is going to have expectations out the ass, and if it doesn’t deliver then there will be Internet nerd hell to pay.
