Bummer: Amazon drops Xbox LIVE Arcade codes

Recommended Videos

I have to imagine many of you weren’t even aware that, for a while now, Amazon has been selling redeemable codes for Xbox LIVE Arcade games. This was especially useful for gifting titles to friends. Anyway, for some undisclosed reason, the codes are no longer being sold. What a bummer.

Official response: “We are no longer selling Xbox LIVE arcade game codes on Amazon.com. You can continue to purchase Xbox LIVE points on Amazon.com and those points can be redeemed through your Xbox 360 console to purchase any of the games that were previously available.”

Even weirder yet, PlayStation Network games are, in fact, still up for grabs. I don’t know who’s to blame here, or if anyone is actually at fault. I’ll let you guys throw out the conspiracy theories in the comments. Pour one out, at any rate.
