Bulletstorm inexplicably yanked from Steam

Energy Leash most likely not to blame

In a somewhat baffling move, it appears the raucous Epic Games and People Can Fly first-person shooter Bulletstorm has been removed from the likes of Steam. It’s a classic case of “here today and gone tomorrow” as the skillshot-laden adventure that released to favorable reviews has suddenly disappeared from sight, without so much as a hint as to why it has been removed.

It could have something to do with the fact that the PC version utilized the Games for Windows service, which is apparently on the decline — but as there’s no official comment on the situation thus far, all we can do is surmise that this may be the case.

Oh, but don’t fret. Look at you, hacker. If you’re so inclined, you can still nab a copy of Bulletstorm via EA’s Origin platform for $20. See? There’s an upside to all of this. You can still wallow in an overabundance of nut shots, and that’s beautiful.
