Browser-based tactical card RPG Card Hunter headed to Steam

New expansion coming soon too

Somehow I have missed out on Card Hunter for the past couple years. It released in 2013 and Destructoid’s reviews patriarch Chris Carter loved it. I don’t know how it wasn’t on my radar; it has a lot going for it I’m into. It has cards, tactical battles, and a cute papercraft board game art style. Yes, yes, and yes please.

The free-to-play title is currently available to play in browser, and it is headed to Steam later this month. Alongside the Steam release is the newest expansion Expedition to the Sky Citadel, which features the slightly malevolent AI Cardotron 2000 featured in the video above. The update also includes a fan-requested cooperative multiplayer mode, allowing up to three players to go at it together.
