‘Broken Steel’ might not be the last bit of Fallout 3 DLC

Whoa, back up the disappointment truck. “Broken Steel” might not be the last expansion for Bethesda’s Fallout 3. Pete Hines recently told OXM that profit would provide the motive for the creation of at least one other bit of DLC.

“Whether [‘Broken Steel’ is] the absolute last one remains to be seen,” he said. “Because it’s been hugely successful. ‘Operation Anchorage’ vastly exceeded our expectation. It was like ‘holy shit, we did how many?’ and ‘The Pitt’ was really successful, after a bit of a false start.”

Publishers and developers don’t ignore money. Surprise!

Seriously, though, it would be nice to visit Fallout 3 again at some point in the future. Let’s just keep pushing that level cap up, Bethesda. Leveling is fundamental.
