Breath of the Wild’s Master Works will be heading West with a new title

Dark Horse Comics are at it again!

Released late last year in Japan, Breath of the Wild – Master Works was a collection of design documents around 2017’s smash hit that included art work, developer interviews and a whole lot more. It basically followed in the vein of things like Hyrule Historia and Arts & Artifacts, just with a focus on a single game instead of the whole franchise. Thanks to Dark Horse Comics, that book is now heading West under a brand new title.

Dubbed Breath of the Wild – Creating a Champion, the book is currently up for pre-order on Amazon (US and Canada) with a price of $39.99/$53.99 CDN. The official description for the book reads:

This book features nearly fifty pages of sketches and official illustrations from Takumi Wada, two-hundred and ninety-six pages of design artwork and commentary about the making of the game from the creators, a fifty-five-page historical section that divulges the history of Hyrule as it is known in-game, and interviews with key members of the development team–Hidemaro Fujibayashi, Satoru Takizawa, Takumi Wada, and Eiji Aonuma. Witness the making of a champion!

I’ve greatly enjoyed the previous offerings Nintendo has made, so count me in for this. There isn’t an official release date yet, but we can probably expect it to land before 2018 is over. We’re still waiting for the Zelda Enclyclopedia, so I wouldn’t expect this to hit shelves soon.
