Brand new footage from Monolith’s X for Wii U

On today’s Nintendo Direct, brand new battle engine footage from upcoming Monolith Soft Wii U game X was shown. Aside from the uninterrupted gameplay, Nintendo didn’t give much more for us to go on other than that the battle system is based on Xenoblade Chronicles‘ battle system, except with more polish.

I… I love it. Robots, transformations, yelling from all sides, burning swords, shiny clothing, and all manner of different sized hitpoint numbers flying about. This is what my dreams look like.

If the low-res version from above doesn’t float your boat, you can rewatch today’s Nintendo Direct, jumping to the 35-minute mark.
