In today’s Electronic Arts earnings call, CEO John Riccitiello confirmed that The Sims would be coming to consoles again in fiscal 2011 (which runs from April 2010 to March 2011).

While no details were provided, given the history of The Sims on consoles, one can expect the title (or titles) to provide a slightly different take on the series than its PC counterpart. The last full-on title in The Sims series to hit consoles was 2004’s The Urbz: Sims in the City. A spin-off of The Sims, the MySims, has recently found life on the Wii and and Nintendo DS.

In 2009, Electronic Arts releases The Sims 3 for PC and Mac; our moles already tell us The Sims 4 (built from the ground-up) is already in development. Like I said, bone up on your Simlish.

“Soo soon!”
