Bodycount delayed as developer leaves Codemasters

Eurogamer is reporting that Adrian Bolton, general manager at Codemasters Guildford and the developer behind Bodycount, has left the company. He’s actually not the first person to leave the development team on Bodycount. Stuart Black, creative director on the game, left the company back in July as well.

These departures have caused Bodycount to be slightly delayed and we can now expect the game to be released in Summer 2011.

Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens assures the media that the game is in safe hands despite the people that have left and insists that there’s nothing wrong. He even says that bloggers are probably going to “paint the picture fuelled by injured parties.”

I don’t know about you, but I think something is going on over at Codemasters there. My blogging senses are adding harsh colors to the canvas of my mind right now just thinking about it! Eurogamer does add that Bodycount has been a “problem project” according to a source close to the game.

And for those of you wondering what Bodycount is even all about, the lovable Samit Sarkar got to preview it earlier this year. It has guns and sh*t.
