Blue Lock: Episode Nagi release date

The Blue Lock: Episode Nagi release date is set for June 28, 2024. Most notably, this release date is scheduled for North America only at this time. The movie will also come out in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at a later date, however, those dates are not yet known at this time. Hopefully, they will also release in 2024.

The spin-off movie is already available for fans in Japan to watch, with its release on April 19, 2024. Unfortunately, international fans will have to wait a bit longer for the official translation into their languages.

Episode Nagi movie and trailer, explained

In the meantime, while we wait patiently for the Blue Lock: Episode Nagi release date to approach, fans can check out the official trailer courtesy of Crunchyroll. The trailer dives into the action-packed drama between Seishiro Nagi and Reo Mikage. The film will follow the friendship between these two members of Team V and likely some backstory as well.

For those who worry about the canon story, Episode Nagi might be a spin-off movie, but it is canon to the core series. It is a movie adaptation of the four-volume Episode Nagi manga series that focuses on Seishiro Nagi. This spin-off series was likely created due to the intense popularity and fandom surrounding Nagi, as one of the most important characters in the series after protagonist Isagi. The series follows Nagi from the start of the events of Blue Lock but from his perspective, showcasing moments fans didn’t see in the core series.

Where to watch Blue Lock: Episode Nagi

When Blue Lock: Episode Nagi releases this summer, fans will only be able to watch the movie in theaters around North America. It is currently unknown what the streaming plans are for the movie, though the core series is available on Crunchyroll. That said, fans will be able to see the movie in both the original Japanese with English subtitles or with the English dub, so pick whichever you prefer.

Presumably, the movie will feature the same English dub cast fans already know from the Crunchyroll release of the series. The movie will run approximately 91 minutes in total. Stay tuned for official theater locations where the movie will be available in the near future.
