I’m leaving for PAX in two days! I know a lot of you will be there too — it’s one of the biggest gaming social events of the year, and is the inspiration for this week’s Bloggers Wanted topic. This time, I want you to tell me about the best “in-person” social experience you’ve had with games or as a result of games; things like gaming conventions, playing games with your neighbor in middle school, or meeting people you’ve gamed online with. Purely online experiences are also wonderful, but will be a subject of a later Bloggers Wanted. This topic is about “real life” encounters.
Also, please don’t tell me about the time you flew out to Minnesota and hooked up with that girl you met on WoW.
Well-written and interesting blogs have a chance of being promoted to the front page. If you want to participate, just write a C Blog, title it “Being Social: [Your Blog’s Title]”, and select the Bloggers Wanted Essay Response tag.
