Open beta on May 19

Heroes of the Storm, the newest major MOBA on the block, will launch June 2, Blizzard has confirmed. The launch will precede an open beta phase that will start on May 19, which precedes its lengthy alpha and closed beta phases that are still happening. The game is based around “quicker” 15-20 minute battles as opposed to the 30-60 minute romps in other MOBA games, and features characters from Blizzard’s wide array of properties.
Other than the pricing scheme for heroes I’m really enjoying Heroes so far. It really does scratch that MOBA itch in a more bite-sized form, and after playing DOTA in some form for over 10 years (the original custom map came out in 2003!), I’m ready for something different.
