Blizzard meets board games in new Monopoly and Risk

In the last few years, videogame themed board games seem to have found a market; whether it be for the hardcore fan of the series or the avid board game collector. During the 109th New York Toy Fair this past weekend, USAopoly have announced two new editions of Monopoly and RISK centered around two distinct Blizzard universes.

Monopoly: World of Warcraft will take players all around Azeroth, from the Twilight Highlands to the Swamp of Sorrows, looking to take as much land as their gold will get them. Players can even take control of faction capitals like the orcish city of Orgimmar and the human kingdom of Stormwind. USAopoly is also holding a FaceBook poll for which six tokens should appear in the final game. Monopoly: World of Warcraft will be appearing in stores this May and retailing for $39.95.

RISK: StarCraft will allow players to choose from the iconic three races of Terran, Protoss or Zerg to see who can claim control of the Koprulu Sector. The game boasts over 290 custom designed pieces, along with three different game modes. RISK: StarcCraft will be releasing some time this summer, at the price tag of $49.45.

I would be interested to see any other board game spin offs based on Blizzard franchises. Anyone else up for some CLUE: Diablo III Edition?
