Blizzard is changing PVP for World of Warcraft’s Draenor expansion

Here’s the rundown

Blizzard is changing the way PVP works in World of Warcraft later this year with Warlords of Draenor, and everything is sounding pretty great overall. When the expansion kicks off you’ll earn more bonus rewards from doing random battlegrounds, and strongboxes (items) that depend on your contributions. Strongboxes can hold random rewards like gear, conquest points, or honor points — in other words, Blizzard is encouraging players to play harder.

Blizzard is also introducing three tiers of PVP gear to help alleviate the long grind that some players have when they attempt to get the best pieces possible. Gear is said to come much faster in this expansion, helping you earn set bonuses early while still working towards later top tier PVP gear. Ashran is also teased as a PVP world zone, and a new system will be in place to accommodate PVE gear so that those folks aren’t at as much of a disadvantage.
