Black Desert Online’s getting two new classes

Next job: ditch class gender-locking! Please?

On April 20, Black Desert Online’s getting two new classes for you to kick ass with.

The male Musa and female Maehwa (because Black Desert’s classes are still gender-locked for some reason) both rely on fast speed and technical ability. Both are melee-orientated classes, but they’ve also got short bows to add some range to their movesets too.

In most respects, the Musa and Maehwa are very much the same idea for a class done twice. However, the Musa has a bigger focus on area-of-effect attacks, being able to carve through hordes of enemies, while the Maehwa is much better in one-on-one encounters, and is able to distract and disable bigger targets for long periods of time.

I’m still trying to crack Black Desert Online. I’ve been playing since launch, and things like crafting can be incredibly difficult to understand without poring over a guide. Still, the combat is absolutely stellar, and the idea of faster melee-focused characters sounds like great fun.
