Bitmob/Destructoid to live stream 20 hours of Dead Island

Recommended Videos

I can’t stay up past 10:30 PM anymore because I’m old, but I know a few people who can. Destructoid is teaming with Bitmob to play Deep Silver’s cooperative zombie-massacre title Dead Island for — wait for it — 20 hours straight. Or until the game’s credit roll. Things could get interesting…

Yup, it’s a classic all-nighter, and it’ll be live streamed starting today at 7:00PM PST. Destructoid’s Max Scoville and Tara Long will be teaming up with Bitmob’s Sebastian Haley and Chloe Dykstra for this 20-hour-long descent into madness. Extra goodies to look out for:

  • Free copies of Dead Island will be given to randomly selected viewers throughout the event.
  • Expect surprise guests, including back-up players like cosplayer Linda Le and Crystal Dyanamics community manager Meagan Marie.
  • Udon lead artist Long Vo will be taking requests and drawing zombiefied versions of famous videogame characters.
  • And… other surprises!

Check back tonight around 6:45 PM PST for links to the live stream. Special thanks to Astro Gaming, Deep Silver, and Crystal Dynamics for putting up with this crazy idea and helping to make it a reality.
