Aside from looking and playing great, BioShock is a great sounding game. Looking over the list of the nominees for the 6th Annual Game Audio Network Guild Awards, it seems that the game has made it into most of the categories, including Music of the Year, Audio of the Year, Sound Design, Best Score, Best Cutscene, Best Dialogue , and more.

G.A.N.G is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of game audio, and they’ve just announced the finalists for the 6th Annual G.A.N.G. Awards ceremony, which is to take place on Thursday, 21st February during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The nominees and winners are chosen and voted on by their peers, including some of the best composers and sound designers in the games industry.

“It took the 50 person G.A.N.G. Advisory Board over a month to decide the final nominees,” said Tommy Tallarico, Founder/CEO/Chairman, Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.).  “With over 350 entries received this year, just being a final nominee is something to be very proud of.  When you see and hear the amazing quality of the titles nominated I think you get a very good sense of where the game audio industry is headed.”

Who would you pick for the top audio and music in games in 2007? Was there something better than BioShock
