Fantasy and game-related book publisher Tor Books is set to publish a BioShock book this fall, according to a page in the publisher’s latest catalogue.
Scant details are scant, but Gamasutra pulled a minor quote and a juicy suggestion of an author from the teaser. The book will supposedly take readers “deeper into the realms” of the BioShock storyline. And according to the catalogue’s index, the page was written by Ken Levine — a writer and designer for 2K Games’ original BioShock and arguably the person best equipped to handle Rapture’s story.
The million dollar question — is Levine writing the book — remains unanswered for time time being.
For the record, Tor Books doesn’t screw around. They’ve worked with some of the hottest sci-fi and fantasy authors of this generation and continue to publish great videogame-related novels like Ghosts of Onyx and Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne.
