Bill Farmer, voice of Goofy, goofed: Kingdom Hearts III not dated yet

Square Enix breaks the silence

Over the holiday break there was a pretty big commotion over some recent comments by Bill Farmer — the voice of Goofy. He noted that Kingdom Hearts III was coming out “sometime this year,” which he soon corrected into “2015.” He said that “as far as [he] can tell” he was done with his lines, so he assumed the game was almost done.

Square Enix countered this week however noting that Bill’s comment was made in error, and that the title “remains unannounced.” It’s entirely possible that Goofy’s lines were recorded early on into the process, and much more work needs to be done beyond that. Hopefully we’ll get a date at E3 this year at the very least.
