Big Head Bash launches into open beta on Kongregate

Big Head Bash, the upcoming browser-based arena shooter from Spicy Horse, has officially started its open beta today on Kongregate. To start engaging in vinyl toy slaughter, all you need to do is swing by the game’s page and sign in to (or register for) an account and you’ll be experimenting with the weird and wonderful weapons in no time.

As previously announced, Mr. Destructoid is playable in Big Head Bash and even available at launch — though you’ll have to earn quite a few levels to have the right to command the helmet. Also joining our distinguished robot overlord in the initial batch of collectible toy-packs is content based on the work of DrX with more packs coming in the next few weeks.

Not only that, the first set of three maps includes the Destructoid-themed, “Robot Factory” stage. You can all go kill each other as Mr. Destructoid, surrounded by Destructoid robots and in front of a massive Destructoid head, basking in the likely radioactive warmth of its all-seeing eyes. It’s an Xzibit meme just waiting to happen.

The folks at Spicy Horse sent us over a few extra-special screenshots of Mr. Destructoid in the Robot Factory as well as a wallpaper which you can adorn your desktop with. You can check out all that in the gallery below, and make sure to give Big Head Bash a try. I need more people to shoot here.
