Bethesda says Clinton never asked to voice Fallout president

Apparently, Bill Clinton was never asked to be the voice of President Eden in Bethesda’s Fallout 3. Or at least, Blindlight didn’t tell Bethesda about their inquiry.

Speaking to Variety about the recent Fallout 3 story, the studios’ vice president Pete Hines made it quite clear that Bethesda didn’t give Blindlight the greenlight to go after the former president.

“Before they would pitch us on someone like Clinton,” Hines said, “they may first go ask if he would do something like that. In no way, shape or form, did we say is President Clinton is who we want for this role or [tell Blindlight to] go chase him.”

Boom. At least there’s no wiggle room (re: sexual relations) in his statement. Still, though, I can’t get Clinton’s voice out of my head. He would have been perfect.
