Bethesda has confirmed that sites connected to the recently released Brink have been hacked into and that personal info has been compromised. No financial data was stores on them, so you only have to worry about your emails and passwords.
The hack was telegraphed by the Twitter account of Lulz Security, a group seemingly devoted to hacking into videogame publisher sites for no reason other than amusement. According to the account, LulzSec “did it because they couldn’t stop us.”
That’s another company done. How many more before enough Lulz have been extracted to satisfy? That remains to be seen.
