Here’s how Variants, Mutations and Multipliers work in Catch and Feed a Brainrot:

  • Mutations: These are stackable multipliers to the base value and you can get them via the Potion shop for example. They reach higher multiplication values than Variants but they apply first as a sum of all Mutations to the base value as you’ll see below.
  • Variants: These are not stackable multipliers to the base value and only one can be active at a time. They apply last as a multiplier after the base value has been multiplied by the sum of all Mutations.
  • How Multipliers Work: The base value is first multiplied by the sum of all Mutations since Mutations are stackable. Then the total sum is multiplied by the Variant modifier “Variant * (Mutation 1+ Mutation 2 + Mutation 3, etc.)“. For example if you have the Void Variant (x4) as well as Lightning Mutation (x3) and Glitch Mutation (x8) the total multiplier would be “4x*(3x+8x)” which is “4x*11x” which is a “44x” total multiplier.
