Best Uriel build in Warframe

Demon unleashed.

Uriel is the 63rd suit in Warframe, and this devil-frame appears to be extremely strong, if complicated. You’ll have to master the use of three demon companions. That said, you can make the most of this unique frame with the right build.

All Uriel abilities in Warframe

Uriel has four skills/abilities that revolve around three demons: Catenach, Gulphagor, and Vythelas. You unlock them as you rank up Uriel’s abilities, and once you do so, they will last until the end of a match. If they die, the demons will automatically resurrect in 60 seconds.

  • Catenach: The serpentine demon unlocks with Infernalis (Rank 0). Catenach can shackle an enemy target and link up with more enemies to inflict damage while slowing them down.
  • Gulphagor: The avian demon unlocks with Remedium (Rank 3). He latches onto enemies with his tentacled maw for 10 seconds, inflicts dun, and damages over time. If you kill the marked enemy, you’ll get 300% Health Orb and 100% Energy Orb drop chances.
  • Vythelas: The impish demon unlocks with Demonium (Rank 5). Every 12 seconds, Vythelas will interact with corpses to convert them into a floating collectible Demonium Rune. These runes will increase your Fire Rate by 30% and make Urie gain 30% Heat damage, lasting for 10 seconds. Up to three of these runes can be active at once, and the buffs apply to both Uriel and his allies.

Ability Synergy

  • Remedium heals or revives all the demons.
  • Demonium channels the souls, splitting them by draining 10% health, and then splits them at enemies.
  • When you kill enemies affected by one of three demons, you’ll fill the meter to activate Brimstone.

Let’s now take a look at Uriel’s abilities and how they function.

  • Infernalis: Create an aura of flames that inflicts Heat damage and status effects on nearby allies. You can also strike enemies from the air by using the dodge button in their direction.
  • Remedium: Allows Uriel to heal himself and his demons.
  • Demonium: Uriel drains the health of his demons and sends them out to hunt new enemies. The souls extracted in the process will explore when coming in contact with an enemy, making it susceptible to further incoming damage.
  • Brimstone: The final ability allows Uriel to create a glowing ring of flaming Brimstone. Every consecutive hit that an enemy takes will cause it to take more damage.

To keep matters simple, I have explained the abilities in the easiest way possible. You can check out all the detailed explanations from inside the game by checking out your codex.

Best Uriel build in Warframe

The following Uriel build is solely based on the Warframe itself, and I haven’t added other elements like weapons and companions. While I don’t have every weapon inside the game, Vinquibus feels like the best choice. I will have a separate build guide up for it.

I haven’t specifically pinpointed any mod unless I have had to. Uriel’s abilities and demons make him an extremely flexible choice for most parts. His main strength is to nuke enemies as quickly as possible, but his kit also allows you to heal yourself and provide buffs for other allies.

  • Archon Shard: The two best choices for Archon Shard will be Amber and Violet. Amber shards will allow you to reduce the casting time, as all the abilities take a long time to cast. Violet allows you to get an Equilibrium effect. Since Remedium allows you to constantly recharge your health, you can convert the health shards into energy. Finally, you can add Crimson Shard to increase Uriel’s ability to strike.

Here are some of the must-use mods that you should put into the build.

  • Archon Vitality: Allows you to use 100% Health when fully leveled up, and doubles the Status effects from all abilities that deal Heat Damage. If you don’t have this mod, go for a leveled-up Vitality to boost your health.
  • Adaptation: With Adaptation, you’ll gain +9% Resistance to that particular damage type for 18s, which goes up to 90%. This will allow you to rarely die with Uriel if you cast his abilities a sufficient number of times.
  • Primed Flow or Flow: This mod raises your max energy meter, which will be immensely useful to spam the abilities consistently.

Uriel is so flexible that you can use the other mods based on how you want to play. He is arguably one of the best frames I have ever used in Warframe.

Coming to Arcanes, there are some new ones available as part of The Old Peace upgrade. Once again, you can pick from a wide variety of choices.

  • Arcane Strike if you’re going for a melee-focused build
  • Arcane Hot Shot, if you want to boost the crit chance

Ultimately, it’s up to you what you want to opt for based on your playstyle. Uriel’s flexibility leaves you with that room for experimentation. If you’re yet to unlock him or all his components, you can check out our guide to know the detailed process.
