Star Wars: Galactic Racer is now available worldwide, and you might want to tweak your settings to get the best performance. While this is not the most graphically intensive game, you will want your performance to be as good as possible. When you are racing your pods at breakneck speed, lag or a stutter can be devastating.
In this guide, I will discuss the best settings to keep lag and stutters to a minimum.
Best Star Wars: Galactic Racer graphics settings
Before I dive into the graphics settings, here’s a rundown of my setup.
- 32 GB of DDR4 RAM
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- AMD Radeon 9060 XT 16 GB
My settings are comfortably above the Minimum requirements according to the game’s Steam page. Unfortunately, the developers haven’t added recommended settings. For this guide, I have focused on systems closer to the minimum requirements.
- Display Mode: Personal preference
- Aspect Ratio: 16:9
- Display Resolution: This must match the native resolution of your monitor
- Target Framerate: 60 FPS. This isn’t a shooter, and I have tried 90 FPS, but there’s no notable difference. Keep it at 60 FPS, especially if you don’t have a powerful system.
- VSync: Keep this turned off unless you’re getting lag.
- Motion Blur: Off
- Camera Shake: Off
- HUD Visibility: On
- Preset: Custom
- Anti-Aliasing Quality: Medium
- Foliage Quality: Low
- Global Illumination Quality: Low
- Landscape Quality: Low
- Post Process Quality: Medium
- Reflection Quality: Low
- Shader Quality: Medium
- Shadow Quality: Low
- Visual Effects Quality: Medium
- Texture Quality: Low
- View Distance Quality: Medium
- Full Screen Effects: Off
- Upscaler: Enabled
- Scaling: Performance
- Frame Generation: Off
If you have a powerful PC, you can easily keep everything at High and run the game without issues. Do note that there are reported instances of stuttering at the start/end of cutscenes, and this problem should get a fix in future patches.
