Best Smart Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 – Where to get them

Take all the hassle out of lining up a shot.

Look, I get it. Aiming your weapon is the last thing you want to do when you’re dealing with Maelstrom or Animals in Cyberpunk 2077. You simply want to get in and out as quickly as possible. This is where the wonderful world of Smart Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 can be put to work for you.

By connecting to a Smart Link cyberware in the user’s palm, Smart Weapons do the aiming for you. Sure, they might not do as much damage, but there’s a price for convenience. With that being said, here are the best Smart Weapons by category.

What are the best Smart Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077?

Pistol – Skippy

C’mon. If you’ve acquired Skippy in a previous playthrough, then you knew he was going to be on this list. This adorable little pistol can be found lying next to a corpse in an alley in Vista del Rey, Heywood. This Smart Pistol comes with an AI installed and two firing modes. What follows is a heartwarming tale of choices.

SMG – Chesapeake

This scrappy little SMG take on Cyberpunk Smart Weapons is acquired through Amazon Prime Gaming from September 26, 2023, through October 23, 2023. Not only does the fire rate increase with each consecutive shot but kills and dismemberment grant increased speed and armor penetration. As if that weren’t good enough, the damage is increased the faster V is going, up to 25%. Rip and tear, chooms.

Shotgun – Ba Xing Chong

Reading the description for Ba Xing Chong reveals that it is actually a rocket launcher modified to fire explosive rounds. This thing deals more splash damage than bacon grease but rewards risky play with increased reload speed and burn chance the lower V’s health is.

This iconic weapon belonged to Adam Smasher and can be acquired at the end of the game. While onboard his ship, the Ebunike, a Crafting Spec can be sourced in a locked chest. After killing Smasher, V can loot his corpse for the Access Token required to craft it.

Assault Rifle – Divided We Stand

Our founding fathers would be proud of this Cyberpunk 2077 Smart Weapon. Divided We Stand can target up to five enemies at the cost of accuracy. That lack of accuracy is compensated by the literal clouds of poison it can create. Even if they’re not hit directly by a bullet, chemical warfare is sure to put your target down.

This American dream can be V’s if they beat Walker’s score during the Stadium Love side job. Alternatively, V can just murder the 6th Street members and loot it from their corpses.

Sniper Rifle – Tsunami Ashura

This Smart Sniper Rifle is unique in that it can be used without having a Smart Link. However, the damage output is doubled with one equipped. Despite being a Smart Weapon, the Tsunami Ashura does an obscene amount of damage. Even better, by not being Iconic, this weapon can be crafted by V. Both the weapon itself and the Crafting Specs are sold by various weapon merchants around Night City.
