Onimusha: Way of the Sword is now out for gamers worldwide, and you can change a fair number of in-game settings on PC to get the best possible performance. While the general performance for the game has been pretty satisfactory, I still needed to make few changes.

Here’s a quick deep dive into my setup before discussing the best settings.
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- AMD Radeon 9060XT 16 GB
- 32 GB of DDR4 RAM
While my specifications are closer to the recommending settings, I have focused more towards devices that are on the lower end of the power curve. This allows more of you to run the game and enjoy killing monsters in Kyoto.
- Screen Mode: Borderless Windowed if you have multiple monitors. Fullscreen otherwise.
- Resolution: Go with the native resolution of your monitor.
- Aspect Ratio: Auto
- Frame Rate: 60 FPS is the sweet spot if you would rather not tax your PC. Onimusha: Way of the Sword is not an FPS or competitive title, and you can enjoy it at your own pace. It’s far better to have a limit at which you can generate a consistent number of frames per second.
- Uncapped Frame Rare: Off
- Vsync: Off. Turn this on if you are still getting lags after making all the required changes.
- HDR Mode: Automatically Enable
- CPU Performance: Prioritize Performance
- Graphics Preset: Custom
- Upscaling: Off. However, if you have an underpowered PC, turn this on.
- Upscaling Mode: Performance
- Frame Interpolation: Off
- Upscaling Sharpness: 50%/60%
- Ray Tracing: Off
- Texture Quality: Low
- Texture Filtering Quality: Medium
- Mesh Quality: Medium
- Sky/Cloud Quality: Low
- Foliage Quality: Low
- Foliage Movement: Off
- Ground Quality: Medium
- Cull Distance: Low
- Shadow Quality: Low
- Contact Shadows: Off
- Ambient Occlusion: Low
- Bloom: Off
- Motion Blur: Off
- Vignette Effect: On
- Screen Space Reflection: Medium

- Volumetric Fog Quality: Low
The estimated graphics load with this set of settings will be pretty manageable and make the game run well on your PC. If you have a high-powered PC, you can go with Medium/High for all settings.
However, I still recommend keeping the frame rate cap on at 60 FPS because that change made a lot of difference on my end.
