The Mage/Wizard class is one of the hardest ones to master in SpiritVale. On one hand, it’s powerful and allows you to kill plenty of enemies quickly. On the other, it’s one of the squishiest classes of all and encourages playing with other players. Not to worry: you can work out these weaknesses and focus on the class’s strengths by getting the build that I recommend in this guide.
Best SpiritVale Mage/Wizard build
In certain classes like Gunslinger, you will want to focus on using the weapons. For a Mage/Wizard, the main strength is in using the abilities. The Mage offers plenty of abilities that allow you to maintain a distance and hit enemies from the ground with powerful damage. You can also chain certain spells to create powerful AOE effects that can trap multiple enemies simultaneously.
This guide focuses on improving your damage potential while also creating chances for you to kite an enemy so that you can serve a tower deal.

Best Mage/Wizard gear
If you go with the Mage, you will have to be more careful about the build and the gear you use. Survival is difficult to begin with, and having the correct gear will make things a lot easier. Some gear items will naturally transition into more advanced options as your level grows. Once you unlock the Wizard job, you might need to substitute some gear items you will use in the early game.
That said, here is a list of items that you will eventually want to use with this build. If you are in the beginning stages, try to use alternate options that share similar attributes with the ones I mentioned below.
- Headgear: the forest friend hat boosts your defense upon refinement and also increases your damage against enemies of all elements. Pair it up with Goblin Warlock card for more magic attack against all enemies.
- Face: Look for any gear that raises your defense and casting speed.
- Spellthread set for chest, legs, and shoes as it raises your defense, magic attack, and movement speed.
- Accessories: Items like Scroll Charm work well with this build, as you gain defense per refinement.
With this build, you will want to opt for the Arcanum set when it comes to Artifacts. You will get All Stat Boost and Magic Damage boost per piece.
Best Mage/Wizard skill
The Mage is one class that specifically requires you to cast as many skills as possible. I have mentioned some of the core abilities that you will have to upgrade to make this build work.
- Wand Mastery: A staple of the build, as it raises your magical attack.
- Increase recovery helps you to recover mana faster and allows you to cast more spells.
- Earth Spikes: An AoE spell that traps enemies in a radius and does damage.
- Fireball: This spell does fire damage to any enemy caught within its radius and also leaves a trail of fire behind.
- Meteor: Casts a meteor that strikes the ground and does incredible amounts of damage.
- Avatar of Storm: A great ability that raises your movement and attack speed.
When it comes to stat distribution, you will want to focus on Intelligence first. Raising your INT is extremely necessary if you want to excel with any mage build in this game. Once that is done, you will have to switch to DEX. DEX is also keen on improving your attack speed and DPS. If you still would like to invest your remaining points into another, I would consider Luck because that can always have benefits.
