Best M60 loadout and faction in XDefiant

Don't knock this LMG until you try it.

LMGs don’t have the same appeal as ARs and SMGs due to their bulky designs and slow mobility. However, the M60 packs a walloping punch and is one of the best weapons in Ubisoft’s new FPS, XDefiant.

If you compare time-to-kill speeds for every XDefiant weapon, the M60 takes down enemies faster than any other option. With a 360-millisecond time-to-kill speed extending to 38 meters, the next closest medium-to-long-range weapon is the ACR 6.8 AR at 384 ms up to 33 meters. The AR has much better handling stats and aims down sight faster, but the M60 is laser accurate at long-distance and can easily decimate multiple enemies with a 100 round magazine. Even if you aren’t the biggest LMG fan, the M60 has everything you could want from a primary weapon.

Our loadout focuses on improving the M60’s mobility without sacrificing the recoil control and damage output that make the LMG dominant. With this set of attachments, players should have no issue running and gunning in small-scaled game modes such as Domination or Occupy. However, this LMG truly shines in Escort and Zone Control on XDefiant’s larger maps. No other weapon comes close to touching the M60 in a long-rage gunfight.

Best XDefiant faction to use with the M60

The M60 works best with the Phantoms faction thanks to its defensive capabilities. In addition to 125 health instead of 100, the Mag Barrier is a perfect ability as it provides a shield to sit behind and spray enemies that can’t do anything in response. The Phantom Ultra ability is probably the worst among all of the factions, but every other ability makes up for that shortcoming.
