Best Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls fighters for beginners

This guide is framed for beginner players with a basic understanding of the movement mechanics and easy combos. I have picked characters who are decent in the general meta, but they’re simple to master.

Captain America

Captain America is one of the easiest characters to master, as long as you’re not getting into the depths of his shield attacks. The basic three attack (Light+Kick+Heavy) is an easy combo that deals significant damage. He offers good defense and counter moves that are so important for beginners.

His shield charges can be used for offense and defense as well. As a beginner, I recommend focusing less on the shield and more on the movement/attack combos. Once you master those, you can focus on learning the shield mechanics.

Spider-Man

If Captain America is about defense, Spider-Man is about mobility. His basic combos (both poke and unique) are easy to master due to the button patterns. Once you master the jumps, the Arachnid Assault version becomes a key damage dealer to anyone who tries to zone in.

If you’re someone who is constantly on the move and aggressively tries to push the enemy, Spidey is a solid choice. However, remember to use your web to escape chokeholds when cornered to an angle.

Deadpool

Deadpool has incredible range. His unique and standard combos allow you to close in or go far as required. His Healing Gauge is excellent: generated by his attacks, it changes the versions of his skills. His Meat Shield also regenerates the Healing Gauge on its own. The healing potential makes him extremely fun to use, and forgiving at the same time. He is likely going to be my first main as things stand.

These are the three easiest characters to learn and main, and they’re also pretty present on the meta. Expect to see some changes as I go through more characters and figure out how their kits work.
