Artifacts are key factors in determining the success of your run in Monster Train 2, and you’ll always want to opt for the best ones possible.
Every Artifact has a key in-game effect that affects your entire run. You’ll always begin with an Artifact and add more as you go deeper on your run. You can win new Artifacts at certain milestones or spend Gold to purchase them.
This guide will help you narrow down some of the best Artifacts currently available in the game.
Best Artifact effects in Monster Hunter 2
Every Artifact has an interesting effect that you should always look to exploit. Some will be more effective if they fit in with your chosen clans. Others have more universal in-game effects and can do well with any clan and their cards.
Artifact | Clan | Effect |
---|---|---|
Guild Marker | Clanless | This Artifact will reduce all Merchant costs by 25%. In the long run, it’s extremely useful, as you’ll be saving coins with every purchase. Spending 1/4th less coins on every purchase will allow you to get more upgrades, and even purchase more Artifacts, making your run easier. |
Divine Shard | Celestial Alcove | A very simple Artifact that adds 25 Hearts to your Pyre Health. If you’re using a Pyre skewed towards higher damage, it’s a great Artifact to add. |
Breath of Heaven | Clanless | This Artifact pushes the enemy at the back to the front, and it will offer incredible tactical advantages in most cases. Bosses, typically, are always at the back. Pushing them forward will expose them to the attacks, and take the enemy’s defending units out of the equation. |
Sketches of Salvation | Clanless | This is arguably the best Artifact in the game, as it randomly adds a unit from your deck to every floor. The units don’t cost any Amber, and neither require additional place in the room. If you’re lucky, the Artifact can end up placing units that cost the remaining Ambers in a given turn. |
Shattered Halo | Clanless | Once you have unlocked the full collection of a given clan, this is an excellent Artifact to use. Just make sure to draft in units from your clans whenever possible, as you’ll always find Rare or higher rarities. |
Lightstone Casing | Clanless | This Artifact allows spells to have an extra upgrade slot. It’s amazing to use if you’re using Luna Coven as your selected clan. |
Crown of the Eternal | Clanless | Champions are the backbone of your deck, and you can heal them at the start of every turn. Unless you make poor moves, this Artifact will make your Champion nearly invincible. |
Wolo’s Bloodletter | Celestial Alcove | While this Artifact chips away 1 health of all your units every turn, they will all have +12 Strike. The sacrifice in terms of health is pretty easy to manage, especially if you’re using units from the Banished clan. |
Purified Soul Shard | Clanless | It’s impossible to upgrade all your units, and this Artifact reduces their cost by one Amber. |
Progress Pacemaker | Lazarus League | This is the best clan in the game, and the Progress Pacemaker takes things to the next level. Lazarus League units rely heavily on the Mix mechanism, and this Artifact ensures you’ll get an instant upgrade on the created Infusion. |
You’ll also have to pay attention to the units that you’re using in your deck. Always go for Artifacts that complement the cards of your deck. Always remember to upgrade your units as that will improve them in multiple areas, and get more wins in your run.
