Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is getting an ‘Endless Eclipse’ mode

All nightmare long

Just in case the idea of adding in the “Eclipse” (a major spoiler event) for Koei Tecmo’s Berserk game was a ballsy enough move, they’ve doubled down and announced that a new “Endless Eclipse Mode” is coming to the game.

It’ll be added in by the time the localized version launches in February (for PC, PS4, and Vita), and will support every character in the game. It’ll provide “new challenges and missions,” and will feature a graduating difficulty — if you conquer an undetermined amount of enemies, you can bring extra rewards back into the campaign.

All told on a tougher difficulty setting outright, this sounds like a great way to master each character’s intricacies. While I’m not sold on the gamification of an otherwise poignant moment in the original manga/anime’s story Berserk as a whole is perfect for translations to other media, and I trust Koei Tecmo to do right by it.
