Before the pok?dex, there was the Pok?mon Field Guide

Talented Deviant Artist Michael Casteel has been busy making a zoological field guide of Pokémon in the wild. The field guide contains written accounts of Pokémon sightings accompanied by a scientific drawing of each one. Fans of the traditionally drawn Pokémon collection will find a lot to love here too.

There are only 24 pages so far which leaves a lot of Pokémon left to cover. Michael has also said that he’s interested in compiling the finished guide into a physical book. Having a Pokédex on my 3DS is novel, but an actual zoological tome would be something I would find hard to resist at any price. Here’s hoping we hear more on this soon.
