Bayonetta: Bloody Fate anime coming soon from Gonzo

Watch out for the enchanting and sadistic witch

[Warning: Trailer NSFW secondary to butt.]

Bayonetta is quite the divisive character, embraced and/or loathed by feminists, sex perverts and feminist sex perverts alike. While her first game didn’t do huge numbers, she’s still proven to be quite marketable on her own, which if probably why she’s starring in her own animated film. Gonzo will be handling production, though the art direction and character design has a definite Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust feel.

Seeing Bayonetta in animated form reminds me that the “anime super heroine gets magically naked before having their heroine outfits form on their body” trope has been around for so long. Still trying to figure that one out.
