Battlefield 1‘s “In the Name of the Tsar” DLC takes the Great War shooter to the “the blistering winter in the east” where it’ll introduce six new maps,  “new vehicles and weapons,” and the Russian army, including the “the iconic Women’s Battalion of Death.” If you’re frothing for the historical precedent, you can find that explanation here. The “most extensive” DLC yet is coming in September.

EA also showed screenshots of two gorgeous nighttime maps that are coming as well.

There’s also mention of a new competitive mode that is “smaller, tighter… [and] focused on teamplay,” in response to fan feedback. However, info on that is being held until gamescom in August.
