Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition dated

HD port of handheld title due April 1

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate released to tepid reviews (at best), but that’s not stopped Armature Studios from taking another crack at the Dark Knight as they transition the handheld game to PC and console platforms in the forthcoming “Deluxe Edition.” A new trailer has released today confirming the launch of the game on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC this April 1st.

It’s hard to say whether the six months between the original release and this new port will result in a significantly better game, but perhaps we can at least hope that muddled graphics may look a bit sharper. The trailer would suggest it, but trailers will suggest anything. At least it will be cheaper, as the Deluxe Edition launches at half of what the original did, retailing for $19.99.
