Banner Saga Vita port finally canceled

In case you were still holding out

After over two years in development, The Banner Saga publisher Versus Evil announced via a blog post that the game’s PlayStation Vita port has officially been canceled.

They sent word out in a tweet last night.

After an initial setback in 2015, developer Stoic ended up partnering with Sony in an attempt to finally bring the title to Vita. After over another year in development, and hitting multiple snags with getting Banner Saga to perform on the handheld, Stoic ultimately decided to pull the plug.

A sad outcome for fans hoping to play a fantastic role-playing game on the go, but you can always play on PlayStation 4.
