The Bad Dudes, that videogame-themed musical group that yours truly is a part of, has just released their newest EP. Before we’ve covered things like Super Dodge Ball and Sagat’s theme song, but our new release touches on the short songs from games.
Jingle All the Way might sound Christmasy, and it is if you think of it as a (free) gift, but it’s more about games’ jingles, like the death or victory songs. You know, the little ditties that get stuck in your head. Our challenge was to take these songs and expand them into full arrangements. The result is the 14 tracks in this EP, which you can download freely from our website.
We cover everything from Chrono Trigger to Castlevania‘s little 10 second songs, now blown up into full songs. I did a version of the very short walking/overworld theme from the NES game Casino Kid.
