Backwards piano man plays Mario theme like a boss

Since he was 14, pianist Jason Lyle Black has been honing the unorthodox technique of playing the piano while sitting in reverse. Can you imagine all the muscle memory you’d have to fight against to pull off such a feat? I guess it wouldn’t be much different from crossing your arms during play, but it’s impressive to watch nonetheless.

So here’s Jason as he plays through the overworld theme of Super Mario Bros., peppering his performance with some reverse action. Then, just for kicks and giggles, he lies on the floor on his back and plays the damn thing upside-down!

I feel so inadequate.
