Awww: Bungie visits a recovering child at the hospital

Heartwarming story of the day

As much as the negativity online can eat away at your mind if you aren’t careful, the Internet can also be an overwhelmingly positive place. Take, for instance, Reddit user fiscal_ posting about his five-year-old son Brady needing to have a liver transplant. The surgery was a success, and during his recovery at the Seattle Children’s Hospital, Bungie stopped by bearing gifts.

The studio brought a signed get-well card, a t-shirt, and a sweet replica Carter helmet from Halo: Reach. Pictures do this story better justice than I ever could, so please, take a look for yourself.

In a separate post, fiscal_ writes that “My family can’t thank Bungie enough. I know that they have had a huge impact on how well my son has been recovering after his surgery.” He says that Brady “likes the idea of Halo more than playing Halo. His interest has transcended the games, he would rather battle it out with his Halo action figures, anyway. The Spartan storyline just gets his imagination going, it’s wonderful.”
