Atlus spoils us again, soundtrack CD to be packaged with The Dark Spire

Recommended Videos

Atlus really does love us all, and they’re showing it again with another expanded packaging. This time, we’ll be scoring the soundtrack to The Dark Spire when the DS title hits retail on April 14th.

The disc comes packed with twenty-four tracks, with both the modern and “retro” versions used in the two different aesthetic styles available for the first-person RPG. If you want to get a taste of the music you’ll hear in the game, Atlus has provided a few samples for your enjoyment.

And it wouldn’t be an Atlus press release these days without a wickedly funny quote:

“Our census data indicates that given the choice between only a game, and a better-packaged game with a free bonus soundtrack, a significant number of our fans seem to prefer getting free extras,” analyzed Aram Jabbari, Manager of Public Relations and Sales.  “We don’t want to rush to any conclusions here, but it seems possible that people enjoy free bonus things along with their games.  Hopefully, we’re actually reading the data correctly this time, unlike that study on whether or not our fans enjoyed bonus live scorpions with their games.  We really blew it on that one, and we apologize to those affected.”

Best. Games. Company. Ever. Now, where are my bonus live scorpions?

[Thanks, Seigfreid!]
