If you’re feeling nostalgic for the ’80s and are interested in getting a bunch of games on the cheap, you just might be interested in this one. The Atari Flashback 3 is a “new” console that comes packed with 60 retro games from the days of the 2600 including such classics as: Asteroids, Adventure, and Missile Command. The full list of included games can be found here. This Atari-licensed retro console comes by way of AtGames, designers of other, similar pack-in deals.
Personally, I’ve always been a bit cautious of this type of product, after receiving one incredibly disappointing birthday gift years ago. But the Flashback 3 has the Atari seal of approval, for whatever that’s worth. It might not look quite as good as the real thing, but it’s considerably cheaper and comes packed with a pair of retro joysticks based on the original designs. The Atari Flashback 3 will be available October 2011 in Europe and Australia for the low, low price of £49.99.
